An indigenous led production company with a vision to create community and bring Indigenous and Non-indigenous artists together in order to create dialog, music, and friendship.
Music is an integral part of a person’s life. We can’t go a day without humming, tapping our feet, or dancing to our favorite song. Culturally, Music had been used to bring people together, and unite them for a common cause. Most notably in the Blackfoot culture with the beat of the drum, music has united people for generations and continues to do so to this day. In contemporary day and age, we are free to choose what music we listen to and although our bodies dance to the rhythm of a new drum we still unite for a common cause, music.
Drum Beat Productions will work to bring together Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Artists and Allies to work together, inspire, and create a community of musicians Calgary has never seen before.
With a focus on multi-genre events, the audience will have an opportunity to engage with contemporary indigenous and non-indigenous artists.
